Samuel Meyer
$0 under DVA, NDIS, Comcare or 16 other schemes
I’m Samuel Meyer, a registered psychologist and director of Meyer Institute. Our primary practice location is in Melbourne CBD at Suite 347, Level 2, 260 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000. I work with children, adolescents, adults and older adults, offering psychological therapy, counselling and assessments in a calm, respectful and practical way. Telehealth psychology appointments are available Australia-wide by secure video, with phone consultations also available. Online appointments make it easier to access support from Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Canberra, Darwin and regional or rural communities. Enquiries are welcome from Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, the ACT and the Northern Territory. Melbourne in-person appointments are arranged and confirmed before attendance. My assessment work includes IQ testing and cognitive assessment, adult ADHD assessment, child and adolescent ADHD assessment, autism assessment, dyslexia and learning difficulties assessment, memory assessment, executive functioning and adaptive functioning assessment. This can help clarify cognitive strengths, giftedness, attention and organisation, academic achievement, everyday independence and support needs. Assessments draw on WAIS-5 adult IQ testing, WISC-V child IQ and giftedness assessment, WPPSI-IV preschool testing, WIAT-III academic achievement, WMS-IV memory measures, and Vineland-3 or ABAS-3 adaptive functioning questionnaires as relevant to the referral question. Preschool WPPSI-IV testing is provided in person in Melbourne. The assessment process brings together your concerns and background, developmental and educational history, interviews, questionnaires, standardised assessment and relevant previous reports. Findings are explained clearly, with feedback, a written psychological report and practical recommendations within the agreed scope. Reports can support education, study and work planning, understanding disability-related needs, NDIS support planning and communication with other professionals. You do not need to know which test to request before getting in touch. Therapy can support anxiety, depression and low mood, stress and burnout, PTSD and trauma-related difficulties, chronic pain, sleep problems and insomnia, grief, adjustment, relationship concerns and work-related psychological injury. I also help people put ADHD, autism, learning and executive functioning recommendations into everyday practice. My work draws on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, psychoeducation and other approaches shaped around your goals. Couples and family enquiries are welcome. NDIS psychology, DVA psychology, WorkCover and workers compensation, Comcare and TAC enquiries are welcome. Eligibility, referral documents, approved funding, assessment scope and billing arrangements are checked before appointments are confirmed. With your consent, I can work alongside your GP, family, support coordinator, rehabilitation provider or other treating professionals. Start with a short enquiry through Meyer Institute. We can discuss what you would like help with, explain the therapy or assessment options, and provide the relevant intake and preparation information before confirming a booking.
